The City Council has decided on a plan that features a class C clean air zone (CAZ), charging all higher emission vehicles - except cars - to drive in the city centre from late 2020.
The plan also features traffic management at Queen Square (a measure that enables exemption of cars from charges), and a range of support to lessen the impact of the zone on the community and encourage a shift to cleaner transport.
